Then at the bottom, "epic music video" in gold shines itself on. A black light surges through the other lights rapidly and one at a time. Lights flash through the logo and it glows. It then continues to the front which shows the object saying "EPIC". The camera moves to the bottom and another fireball appears. The camera goes down and a small fireball erupts from the structure. In the middle is a silver zeppelin-like metallic object spinning. The camera moves forward, then rotates to the left and eases back to reveal the boxes are part of a chain forming an oval. Logo: On a black background, there are several brown boxes emitting light beams from the left and right. It may show up on early DVDs as well.Įditor's Note: It scared many people due to the loud explosion sound, the sudden appearence and the fact that the entire logo is on a black background. Appeared on VHS releases from this period.
Music/Sounds Variant: On the VHS version of Michael Jackson: Video Greatest Hits - History, it uses the closing song "Heal the World (7" Edit)".Īvailability: Rare. Logo: On a black background, three blue bars and a gray microphone fly from all over and stop in the center, forming the Epic Records logo from the time. Then, "H O M E-V I D E O" appears in a spread out font.īackground: Epic Music Video is the home entertainment division of Epic Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment, Inc. Logo: On a black background, a wierd thing zooms up to the viewer, as it spreads out, it shows a line and the word "EPIC". Seen on Mind Trap.īackground: Epic Home Video was the home video division of Epic Productions, Inc. Silence then plays for the rest of the logo.Īvailability: Extremely rare. A 3-note synth drone tune then plays, with the last note held out and a few timpani drums playing under it. Music/Sounds: A droning synth plays throughout the beginning, with a whoosh for the shapes coming in. "ENTERTAINMENT INC." then fades in below. 2 glass yellow shapes, a square and circle respectively, then spin into place, with the circle in the bottom of the "A" and the diamond square just outside the right of the "I". The shapes are revealed to be in the style of the text "AMI", and they stop at a position where the M is mostly white. Logo: On a blue background with a pitch black upper left corner, a transparent glass shape comes into view on the bottom half of the screen, which then rotates upwards and zooms out. However, there is a logo that is much cheaper than this. The whole thing looks like a rushed job, especially considering there's a copyright symbol next to the eagle and the spelling mistake of "Eagle" as "Egale"! This might take Artisan's (Now Lionsgate) crown as the cheapest logo of all time.
Some have shown up at local libraries and may be found at dollar stores and pharmacies in DVD bargain bins.Įditor’s Note: This logo looks extremely cheap, like the person who made it just took an eagle image and added text in Windows Movie Maker or Microsoft Office PowerPoint. There is very little information about this company and its titles are extremely hard to come by (hence their Canadian origins). Music/Sounds: An unknown majestic fanfare, which sounds like the Australian Broadcasting Company Radio News fanfare.Īvailability: Was spotted on a Canadian public domain DVD of Plan 9 from Outer Space, while the variants were found on its releases of Kronos and The Cattle Wranglers. A version that lacks the red and grey texts is seen on The Cattle Wranglers.įX/SFX: The eagle fading in, the text cutting in, the logo fading out. There is a farther back widescreen variant spotted on Kronos. As the logo is about to end, we see the words "The Finest In American Cinema On Video" on top of the eagles head in red and the gray text "Distributed By Tonnapincu Entertainment New Brunswick, Canada" on the bottom cut in.
Logo: On a black background, we see an eagle's head fade in with the words "American Egale Video" on the left, with the text in the traditional American colors of red, white, and blue respectively.
Nicknames: "Cheesy Eagle", "Egale", "America in Canada", "Google Images Rush Job"
